Cold Water Makes You Fat!

It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this ’sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into FATS.

Without getting too technical, that is completely idiotic and impossible. For one, water and oil can't mix and most oils has a pretty low freezing point. Unless you like ice cold, freezing water, this is unlikely. Second, digestion is not easily slowed down by "sludge". Third, oils and fat are broken down by the same enzyme so oil does not magically turn into fat. Fourth, water SPEEDS UP digestion no matter what you eat and lastly, all food are digested in the jejenum "after" being mixed and left to ferment in the duodenum. All foods stuffs are digested in a similar pace(except cellulose). In fact, since your body prefers to stay in equilibrium, drinking cold water and lowering your body temperature will actually make you LOSE weight. So strictly speaking, it's not the water, it's the oil you ate.

P.S. Water has no calories and cold water is, I read, able to burn about 17 calories per liter. Get your facts straight.
